I love this color combo! I’m planning an October wedding (2011) in NM…I want to have a turquoise and coral theme but I’m having trouble finding the right shades of each…also thinking about having bridesmaids wear varying shades…what other colors would go with those two?? I don’t want to go overboard with the turquoise and coral because I want myself and bridesmaids to wear accent jewelry..so perhaps a more neutral shade for their dresses?
MichelleMospens says
Hello Veronica! I will be adding 2011 wedding color ideas today!!! I do not see turquoise on the palette. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t be there. So if you love, love, love turquoise you may have to buy the items you adore NOW then. RE: 2011 color trends — The closest I see for turquoise is leaning more toward a green hue. Mocha / chocolate / brown will make a come back in 2011! Grey is hot this year, 2011 not so much it appears. Have fun! 🙂
candy says
Hi I’m having a May wedding in Ohio with the backdrop being floor to ceiling windows and just outside are tons of dark green trees. What shades of blue and orange would you recommend? I was thinking of a “light” turquoise, say an aquamarine or even a cornflower blue with a coral or light peach? Your thoughts?
MichelleMospens says
Hello Candy! We have a studio in Akron, Ohio! http://tiny.cc/ohiostudio If you didn’t get invites yet, you are welcome to visit us! I love light blue with nature / tree green in the background. Coral (cool coral light orange) is popular now. A perfect match used with light cornflower blue or light aqua! Enjoy!!

Hello! I’m planning a december 2010 wedding with a black, plum and silver palette. I’m having a hard time finding the right color of plum–not too purple, but not too pink. Also, we got engaged in Paris and want to somehow incorporate it into the decor without going overboard. Any ideas???
MichelleMospens says
Hello Cat. I am not a fan of pairing dark colors with each other. Dark gray and plum maybe. Or Black and Lilac with the silver. Best wishes!
Melissa says

Hello,
I’m having a small wedding in July of this year, I’m wearing an antique white dress, I’m not sure of my other colors. I was leaning towards pistachio and coral, or coral and a blue. I’m into different things I’ve either considered chocolate but I didn’t know how to pair so it could remain summer like.
MichelleMospens says
Hello Daphne! I would pair your pistachio and light blue with light gray. You can still add a tiny bit of coral here and there. Best wishes!! xo

Hi Michelle:
I am approaching middle age and getting married for the 2nd time. I would like to use “a heart of gold” theme and also a light blue color scheme. I want to use gold accents and I am planning for a June 10 wedding. Can you give me any suggestions?
MichelleMospens says
Hello Denise! Gold and Light blue are beautiful together. Perfect. Best wishes. xo

Hi Michelle!
Im getting married May 14, 2010. I chose periwinkle, white and silver/dove grey as my palette (for spring), which will predominate in the entourage gowns. My problem is choosing the right color for my flowers. Should it also be in the cool range of monochromatic blues and white or should I use darker shades like magenta, violet, and pink? thanks! I love your website, btw!

MichelleMospens says
Hello Annalisa! I am thinking greens or blues. What is your favorite color?

Glorious says
hi,
i want to say u r doing a pretty good job.
i’ll be gettin married in october.
my fiance is wearing a skyblue shirt and a black suit.
i want coffee brown and cream for the theme, but i tink the combinations will be lousy.
wot other colours can i use to match his chosen colours?
thanks.
MichelleMospens says
Hello Glorious! I am just not a huge fan of brown. The sky blue shirt and black suit is very crisp and lovely. I would build off of these colors. Adding a splash of lilac or coral would be lovely. Good luck!
Cimarron says
Hi Michelle – I love these colors!! I will be getting married in the fall, could I use these colors as well? If not, how would you suggest the color pallette be adjusted?
Cimarron Rasmussen says
Hi Michelle –
I absolutely love this color scheme, but I am getting married late summer/early fall. Any ideas on how to change the color scheme around a bit to match the season? I’m excited to hear back. I absolutely love your ideas!!
MichelleMospens says
Hello Cimarron! You can change the Ice Blue to NAVY for fall. For late summer you can darken the coral a bit. Lovely! Best wishes! xo
Sharon says
Hello Michelle! I am planning a wedding for May or June 2011. My fiancee loves the color yellow so we are going with a buttercup yellow I believe. I am trying to pick a color to pair it with. I am thinking Mocha brown would look nice. What do you think?
MichelleMospens says
Hello Sharon! Congratulations!! Yes, mocha will be popular for 2011. Buttercup is lovely! Best wishes! xo
Lisa says
Hi Michelle
My son is getting married at a castle in the mountains, on the tropical island of the Dominican Republic. It is a small wedding with the bride, groom, maid of honor, best man (their 6 yr old son) and the flower girl. Her dress is ivory lace and her colors are coral, yellow and chocolate brown. Ashley the bride wants coral and yellow roses in her bouquet, I think we should also add a little cream in hers. What about the maid of honors whose dress is chocolate brown? She also wants to add a few tropical flowers in her hair. She is incorporating the yellow roses for her father. What do we do for the grooms, fathers and son’s boutonnieres? Should they all match or should the groom match the brides hair? All the men will be in black tuxes, cream shirts. Help please!
MichelleMospens says
Hello Lisa! I love the coral on the mens black suits! Sounds like a lovely wedding! Best wishes to all involved. xo

Hey Michelle, I haven’t picked out my flowers yet because the wedding is still another year away… But i really like the idea of using coral, any other suggestions of colors to pair with it around the 4th of July?
