ABOUT MICHELLE
Growing up in a very small town in Ohio, Michelle was always creating art. Every cent of her allowance and birthday money would go toward new markers, crayons, paper, pens, pretty stationery, and watercolor paint.
While other neighborhood kids were setting up lemonade stands, Michelle set up to sell her own hand painted rocks.
When she was a teen she handed out food samples in her local grocery store on the weekends and LOVED sharing products that were her favorites.
Later she attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and studied advertising, graphic design, and illustration.
In 1998, she started a graphic design / illustration studio from her sunroom. Today, she creates illustrations, watercolor art, handmade stationery, and original paintings on canvas for clients all over the world.
Michelle lives in Ohio with her letterpress printing husband, their novice computer programmer son, and deer chasing yorkie Spencer.

A lifestyle and design blog that shares DIY projects, style, recipes, design and party inspiration.
Originally launched in 2000 as a creative outlet for artist and designer Michelle Mospens. But then in 2014, Michelle starting receiving many requests from BIG businesses to post about their products on her blog. She wanted a place where she could share more ideas and these products she already loved with the world. “A Watercolor Life” blog was then reborn.
