Hi Michelle,
1st, thanks for your page! I’m finding it very useful.
I am having a formal evening wedding in Oct. 2010 My bridal dress has a silver sheen to it. My fiance is color blind with the red tones (purples/browns/oranges).
I think I’m going to have to go with blues and yellows… just trying to decide with which ones. I want both a festive and an elegant feel. Teal or navy? I think this combo might be alllll right!
Do you have any suggestions?
MichelleMospens says
Hi Marni! I would certainly ask your fiance to help you decide. I am a huge fan of light blue and silver. Good luck. xo

Hi my wedding is in December 2010. I have had to change from the Tiffany Blue to the deep teal. I hadn’t liked the color until my bridesmaids tried it on. It was gorgeous. My Fiance has his heart set on the dark espresso brown tux. What accent colors do you suggest? Do these colors even work?
MichelleMospens says
Hi Crystal! You are on the right track! Deep teal and dark brown are one of the color combos for 2011! You certainly can be ahead of the trends by featuring these as your wedding colors in December! Good luck!

i was told that using yellow in the color scheme would make an evening affair less formal? Do you think this is true? I love these colors together!
MichelleMospens says
Hello Laney! Honestly I am not a fan of yellow. However if I were to choose, I would choose buttercup yellow. Light and elegant. It totally depends on what YOU love. Go for it! xo

Hi there! I was amazed by your wedding mood boards! Love buttercup yellow and ocean blue as a motif. I am organizing my own wedding – the event will be on the last week of January 2011. I am soliciting your kind opinion and views on how I will decorate the venue for my reception.
Thank you very much and I am hoping to hear from you.
MichelleMospens says
Hi Luisa! Thank you kindly. I just added more 2011 wedding colors! Check them out.

Hi,’til now i have not decided which color motif should i choose for my wedding. I saw mild yellow and start loving it, however, red wine is my favorite color ever since, can yellow be shaded with red wine? Please advise… thank you so much!
Michelle Mospens says
Hi Rhea, If you want to pair red wine with a yellow I would lean toward a yellow gold. Think warm hues. Good luck!
